Braybrooke Castle lay just outside the village of Braybrooke ...

Originally the Latimer seat, it became the centre of the Griffin holdings as the Griffin connection with Gumley faded.

Little remains of the building. The stones were used to extend Sir Edward Griffin's Dingley property (temps Elizabeth l) and to renovate the ancient family church in Braybrooke itself...

The Griffin Monument is housed inside the church (adjacent to the wooden effigy of Lord Thomas le Latimer and Sir Nicholas Griffin's helmet).
